It’s the first Monday of August, signaling the start of school is rapidly approaching. We’ve gathered together several of our back-to-school articles in one place to help you get ready.

This year’s tax-free weekend for school supplies and clothes starts Friday. Click to find out what’s eligible and how to handle online purchases.

Children receive free backpacks Friday evening at the Pre-K for SA East Education Center. It’s one of two events held by the District 2 council office to provide free backpacks and school supplies to children who will soon be back in school. Other giveaways are planned for later this month.
