Today, Rosebank, the UK’s largest untapped North Sea oil field 80 miles northwest of the Shetland Isles, was given the go-ahead. Green Party MP Caroline Lucas dutifully took the bait, declaring it “the greatest act of environmental vandalism in my lifetime.”
